Principals message

Ko Moturoa te kura, Ko Hongihongi te awa, Ko Otaka ko Ngamotu nga pā tawhito, Ko Paritutu, ko Taranaki nga maunga, Ko Ngati Te Whiti te hapu, Ko Te Atiawa te iwi.

It is my pleasure to welcome students, parents and staff to Moturoa School. In particular, welcome to those parents and students who are new to school.

As a school, we are committed to providing high quality educational programmes, in a very well-resourced school, to best engage our learners and develop positive relationships.

We will endeavour to ensure our learners develop and demonstrate the dispositions of confident, connected, actively-involved life-long learners.  Students who will ‘Grow’ their respect, resilience and relationships.

The pastoral care of our students is paramount. At Moturoa School, a network of support staff, teacher aides and external agencies support each student. Strong links to families allow us to develop a deep understanding of each individual’s needs.

We aim for all our students to be happy, confident and empathetic, with a clear pathway to their futures. We sustain our local environment through our propagation programme and our local curriculum. Developing students with future focused dispositions is paramount.

Nga mihi
